British designers collective 2014
In partnership with the Royal Academy of Arts and GQ Magazine, who took turns in hosting the pop-up, the challenge was to create an exciting interior relevant to both different brands. The concept was inspired by contemporary gentleman's clubs, in particular the Keeper's House at the Royal Academy of Arts London. The central feature of the design was a gentleman's club-style seat in leather upholstery. This made use of the enormous ceiling cavity - bringing a warmer glowing light down to shop floor level. It was a focal point and a place from which to view the art that hung above the perimeter rails.
